Spring-Like in the Great Northwest
20th February, 2010 - Posted by -
Is it an early Spring or wimpy Winter? Well the sky is blue. The sun is out. The plants and trees are starting to bloom. The tree pollen is heavy. And, it is time to start behaving like the season of hibernation is over. Time to claw out of the warm den and to forage for life sustaining activities. Yes, it is time to bask in the warm of the lengthening days and move forward on your path of: self-discovery, career achievement, spiritual enlightenment, or intellectual development. So, let’s get off our butts and make life happen. The energy from the re-emerging sun gives life to our planet and we can bask our souls and our spirits in the rebirth of new life… Now, all of these metaphors seem to told true for the Northern Lattitudes in a February, but many of these same pursuits can be chased in any Spring-time or even in end-of Summer/beginning-of Fall. So, no matter where you are reading this, get out and chase your dreams.
At the Stress Education Center, we are looking forward to the development of new programs. We want to train more people to work with people with PTSD, panic/anxiety, and out of control stress responses. We are also wanting to develop special retreat programs that offer intensive experiences which create awareness of stress and anxiety, and then experiencial processes that offer dramatic experiences in “letting go” for deep relaxation. We really want to reach out to other professionals, teachers, clergy, coaches, and therapists who can better help to spread this information. We are also wanting to reach out more to severely ill, chronically ill, or terminally ill people who wish to minimize their distractions of pain, anxiety, and stress to achieve better quality of life. Hey, we even re-recorded some of the audio stress management programs and will be uploading these ASAP. (This was a Winter project…)
So let’s feel for the “sap starting to rise” and get engaged in new growth… If all else fails, go bask in the sunlight, soak up the healing energy, and radiate warmth and love to everyone you can.
Just be careful if you go out to pollenate… Take the necessary precautions!
Peace and Love
Be Springlike and go forth….
